My engagement is like a bomb of DIY stuffs. From hantaran to my dress to the so-called mini dais, to the soap flowers! Yes, flowers made out of soap! It makes the room smelling fresh and… soapy. But my dad said it smells like a bathroom after somebody had shower in it. hahaha!
Another DIY thing is my makeup. I am not hiring any makeup artist whatsoever. Yeah, I know, snooze. So, I’m doing the makeup myself! Did a test makeup about tow days back and I did another one just now, just to practice so that I won’t panic the morning of engagement.
I’m also discovering false eyelashes. (wow!) haha. I’m not the kind of person who wears makeup that much. I only slap those translucent foundation lightly, stroke some eyeliner, some lip balm and I’m ready to go. But I’d apply some eyeshadows if I’m extra rajin for occasions. hehe.
ANYWAY, false eyelashes are such a new thing to me. I’m not really into them cause it makes me look fake and dolly-ish. Most probably it’s because I have small (and slanted) eyes so I don’t think I’d pull it off. However, I’ve always been so curious about those falsies and decided to give ’em a try. I kinda like the result but I’m not sure if it’s appropriate for my engagement. So, I’ve taken some pictures for you to judge and tell me what you think.
Also, I know being pretty (or atleast try to) in pictures isn’t really me but I figured I don’t really have decent camwhore pictures as most of my camwhore pics involve me squinting my eyes or make weird faces hahah.

Maaflah kalau terus letak gambar yang sebesar-besar alam ni. Bukan apa, ini penting bagi mengelakkan kekecewaan melihat gambar besar yang sebenarnya kurang menarik berbanding gambar kecil yang nampak macam hot. Seronok betul berangan pakai mekap padahal pakai baju t-shirt oversized je. Muahahahah. Dahlah pakai henpon je. LOL loser gila.
Baiklah, motif entri ini ialah untuk bertanya pendapat berdasarkan gambar-gambar diatas mengenai bulu mata palsu walaupun dirasakan kebayakan pembaca saya terdiri dari golongan bertelur. Eh, golongan lelaki. Hish, apa ni. Adakah saya patut pakai atau tidak? Sila ARundi Ya atau Tidak.

Maybe kena ade comparison kot… One make-up version without falsies. ^^ I actually agak anti-false-lashes jugak sebab they freak me out (especially bile tengok gambar orang kawen… lepas kena mekap je nampak at least 5 years older. Sangat fail), but they could suit you just as well. 🙂 I am wondering about the lip colour jugak though, it looks just a tad casual and “young”, I think la.
ohh comparison ada je kat atas on the header tu. hahahah, Actually I forgot to take the before picture. Well, I wasn’t actually planning on writing this in the first place anyway. OMG, I know right! Some wedding makeup are just scary! I especially hate it when the eyeshadow color is the same as the dress. I mean, since when the wedding became a circus show? hahaha
umm about the lip color, I didn’t actually wear any lipstick. That’s just the lipgloss and I don’t really like that one. I only have one lipstick and it’s cherry red which I wear on daily basis. I have many lip gloss tho. Anyway since I thought I’m emphasizing on the eyes, wearing a cherry red lipstick would make the makeup seems a lil’ on the heavy side. It might be more suitable for a party/night time makeup. So.. I think a lighter lip colour would be more suitable. Plus, it won’t be so obvious if the color comes off in the middle of the ceremony. lol.

coming from a girl who does not know make-up at all (me), i think, you did a good job. and the falsies looked nice on you. it wasnt too overwhelming or too much like some falsies. with the right falsies, it can bright up the whole look. plus, i have to agree with aneesa about the lip. it’s too simple. spice up a lil bit since it’s your engagement, maybe a lipstick and then some lipgloss.. heehee
oh thanks, that’s a really nice feedback. but my sister disagrees tho, she thought it’s too much. Then again, she doesn’t wear any makeup at all. Ohh.. hmm I’ll try to figure out something for the lips. I only put on a lipgloss. And as I’ve mentioned in reply to Aneesah, the only lipstick I have is in cherry red color which I wear on daily basis. hahah
i like the natural nude-ish look, where they use earthy colours and pastels. i think it will complement your complexion, since you’re fair. plus, emphasizing on the eyes is good and leave the rest simple. anyhoo, i havent congratulate you on ur engagement. congrats =))
yeaah I like nudish look too. As for mine, I’m doing smokey-nudish look. It’s a really nice look and it doesnt come off too strong. hehe. and oh, thanks thanks ;D
